My Gkrellm2(latest version) stays connected for about 10 - 12 hours then for some reason it just shuts it self down. Is this a normal thing for this program?

This was the only msg I saw in the logs:
[code:1:d0fbe98441]pid 6949 (gkrellm), uid 1001: exited on signal 11[/code:1:d0fbe98441]

Any Idea?

does it leave you a core file?

No core files for it.
What do the core files do for you? (newbie) :)

you can use gdb to read the core file and (maybe) figure out why the program crashed. read the gdb man page for more.

How did you install gkrellm? Unless you're having similar problems on the system, signal 11 in this case implies a problem with either gkrellm code or the way it was compiled.

Which OS are you using? I have been running GkrellM-2 on several of my machines, some with the GUI and others with GKRELLM_SERVER_ONLY, and they have been very stable to months on end.

Using FreeBSD 5.1 Release, and I installed it through the ports. Thats why I do not understand why there would be a problem. Should I make deinstall, then reinstall?

Weird, I turned off the Mail checking and it has been running solid for 2 days now....

Did you make a remote mailbox local? Maybe the wrong protocol? Just throwing out some ideas. :D
