A co-worker and I were messing around with Samba yesterday but can not seem to get it working.. Using the 2.2.8a openbsd 3.4 port setup.

We keep getting the following error:

The account is not authorized to log in from this station.

Weve basically setup full read access, Ive added host allow = x.x.x.x and stuff to the smb.conf, but still no go...

My friend found this site, but Iv'e never heard about hacking the win reg just to get this going.

Turns out we had to enable encrypted passwords... I didnt realize this was needed for newer versions of winblows :)
