Hi, i'm really new to firewalls. I just moved into college, and the dorm internet connection has a firewall. I realized that i can't play multiplayer games through this firewall :( . If anyone could please help me out, it'd be much appreciated. btw i don't know where pf.conf is located, where is the file? does it have to be created? where do i put it? thanks much

Can you play the games when hooked directly to the college connection?

If you can't then there's nothing that can be done. If you can then it's a matter of forwarding the correct ports to the proper machines. That's doable. 8)

The pf.conf is located in /etc/pf.conf. Read the pf faq at OpenBSD's site (http://www.openbsd.org/faq/pf/index.html). Also check the pf repository (https://solarflux.org/pf) for lots of good tips and tricks to getting a handle on your firewall.

Let's know where you need to go from here.
