First off, I can't ssh into my 5.2 box using my Mac or Window clients. Kind of confused because I can ssh into my OpenBSD box. Just get a badd password error even though I know it's the right login/password combo.
Also, I tried using cvsupit and then the make-world process as described in my FreeBSD book FreeBSD Unleashed. I think I hosed the whole system when I ran mergemaster but I'm not sure. Couldn't boot to the new kernel or old kernel so I reinstalled 5.2 and have only ran freebsd-update. Is freebsd-update a viable alternative? Am I using the wrong guide? Or did I hit the wrong options while running mergemaster?
