i'm going to be setting up a new firewall for my office, using OBSD, and just have a general config question. i know that the swap partition should generally be twice the amount of ram you have. let's say the box i'm using currently has 64MB. can i set up OBSD, create swap with 256MB, and then install another 64MB of ram later on? i just don't have the dimm with me, but i know it will eventually get in there. will i have to reconfigure anything in OBSD, or will it just pick up the extra ram with no issues?

thanks.

I think that should work out fine. I cant see any problems with it as you willl already the the necessary swap up front, and having more than twice your ram wont hurt anything either.
