While this isn't exactly cutting edge news, I thought that I would post that Freesbie 1.1 iso is released (http://www.freesbie.org/?section=download-en). Freesbie 1.1 is a Live CD based on FreeBSD 5.3 and has many packages (http://www.freesbie.org/doc/1.1/FreeSBIE-1.1-i386.pkg_info.txt) on it including XFCE4, OpenOffice, Firefox 1.0, Thunderbird 0.9.2 and more. A new feature included in this release is install to hard drive via the DragonflyBSD BSDinstaller (http://www.bsdinstaller.org). It's also available in ports (sysutils/freesbie) so you can build custom images through some simple scripts. This is a very handy tool to add to your toolkit. :squarewin
