First. I try to compile lot of things and it tells me that I need XML::Parser. I have compiled and install perl and a xml parser but I still get this message. What port is needed here?

Also I have a nforce sound card. How can I get that configured. I think I got my printer working not sure. Will have to reboot and try it. But I did it with apsfilter.

Thanks!

Do you have p5-XML-Parser-2.34_1 (/usr/ports/textproc/p5-XML-Parser) installed? I'd guess it's that port (but I don't know the Perl system very well). It's a Perl API to the expat (C XML parser library) port.

Found answer:
perl -e shell -MCPAN

then at prompt enter:

install xml::parser

once done enter:

quit/exit

Ok now I got my sound card configured. cat /dev/sndstat gave me my sound card stats but when I start xmms i get a message:
